About Tip Calculator

The Tip Calculator helps you work out a fair gratuity and split the final bill between people in just a few seconds. It’s built for everyday use in restaurants, bars, taxis, and any service situation.

How to Use This Tool

1. In Bill amount, enter the total from your receipt (for example, 75.50).
2. In Tip %, choose the percentage you want to leave (for example, 15, 18, or 20).
3. In People, enter how many people are sharing the bill (leave as 1 if you’re paying alone).
4. Click Calculate tip. The result line shows the tip amount and the total bill including tip. If more than one person is paying, it also reflects the split per person.

Example Scenarios

• Group dinner: A bill of $120.00, tip 18%, and 4 people. Enter those values to quickly see how much each person should pay.
• Solo service: A haircut costing $40.00 with a 20% tip. Use the calculator to avoid mental math and see the exact total.

Tips & Best Practices

• Check whether service is already included on the receipt before adding an extra tip.
• When splitting unevenly (for example, one person didn’t order drinks), you can still use the tool to find the overall total, then adjust shares manually.
• If you’re unsure what percentage to choose, common ranges are 15–20% for many service industries.
